How Are You Spending The Currency of Life

The greatest gift life has given to us is the gift of time which is the currency of life. How are you spending it?

It is easy to be caught up in so many activities, attending to this caring for that, meeting this need, being there for that person, but how important and urgent are these things we get caught up in. There are a lot of things we're involved in that don't really matter.

Time is one resource at our disposal for the fulfilment of our dreams but this resource can either be cheap or expensive depending on what value you place on it. The value you place on time is reflected in how much respect you have for it and this respect is reflected in your use of it. How are you spending your time? What determines the percentage of time apportioned to each activity in your life? Are you getting the best value from the use of your time based on this sharing formula?

As we approach the last quarter of the year, its proper to begin to assess how your time is being spent in line with the goals you did set at the beginning of the year and at the mid-year assessment. This will help you determine if your time is being spent wisely or not.

It is never too late to make the needed adjustment if the result of your assessment is not encouraging. One strategy to have in mind when making your adjustment is trying to answer the question "what matters most." "What reflects your innermost longing." Is it business, family, money, impact, good health, spiritual connection, relationships, or vacation. When you find the right answers, ensure they're reflected in the use of your time henceforth; fulfilment comes from the proper use of your time.
