Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life. Gal.6:5 (MSG)
Who you are today is a result of your past thoughts, actions and attitudes and who you'll become tomorrow will be a result of today's thought, actions and responses to life situations. This puts you in a position where you're in charge of your life and in control of your future. You decide which dream you want to settle with big or small, you decide what to believe, positive or negative. You choose your thought pattern, empowering or limiting thoughts. You decide whether you want to dwell on your past mistakes or grow through its lessons and move on. You determine whether to live for purpose or for immediate gratification. You choose to either run situations around you or allow them run and determine how your life goes. What will be(your dream) will not be if you don't do what is necessary for it to be.
There's only ONE PERSON saddled with the responsibility of your destiny and that PERSON is YOU. It is fruitless trying to find someone to blame for your failures in life? Its not your parents who didn't send you to school. Its not your spouse who's very stingy with his money. Its not your business partner who double-crossed you. Its not your supposed best friend who snatched your fiance a week to your wedding. Its not your uncle who molested you, neither is it your step mum who turned your dad against you.
If any change would take place in your life it would take responsibility on your part and not through your victim stories. You can't remain in your state of lamentation and expect the best to come your way. If its in your hands, then you need to begin to assume responsibilities for your future. Assuming responsibilities calls for action and not wishes. Actions demand plan to be strategic and discipline to stay focused on your plan.
If you're not happy with your life, there's only one person to be disappointed with, YOURSELF. Whatever disappointment happened yesterday is gone with the day. It now time to take responsibility for the outcome of today's appointments with destiny. By so doing, every decision and every choice of every minute will count. Every procrastination will count, every time given to unproductive use will count. Every time allocated to people who either add value to your worth or drain you will count. Every rest will count either positively or negatively. Every learning and growth will count. Every alignment and balance in your life will count.
For all things to work together for your good, they first must align with God's purpose for your life. Though there are promises in the scriptures for us to claim, God still expects actions from us to propel these promises into manifestation.
Today's Action Plan:
• Make a conscious list of pending actions in your life due to someone else's perceived irresponsibility.
• Outline steps you need to take to set things rolling on each item on your list.
• Come up with a mantra that daily reminds you, you're responsible for your future outcome.
• An example is the quote by William H. Johnsen, "If it is to be, it is up to me."
• place or stick this where you can see everytime to constantly act as a reminder.
I'm always available for questions and help on how to become a better version of yourself.
God bless you real good as you go forth flourishing in His presence.
