We are created in the image of God to fulfill a purpose so we can live in dominion and glory. There's something very unique about your tomorrow that will impact humanity. You may be at the floor today, your story may be characterised by shame and ridicule, men may have used and dumped you, your family may have written you off, the world may reproach you based on your past and even coin a by word for you, but when God decides to roll away your reproach and turn your story around, He brings a new you to the scene totally cleansed, forgiven, healed of your past and empowered to go forth and redefine your future.
The difference between where you are now and where you ought to be is in your ability to sense that change when it comes, to be able to read between the lines and discern a new season unfolding for you and align yourself to divinely orchestrated opportunities that presents itself in the most disguised form as we are going to see from the life of one woman who went from being a prostitute to a patriarch of faith.
Rahab is one short but interesting story of the bible found in Josh. 2:1-21, which is very significant to every woman. In the next few days, I shall be sharing some great insights from this simple story that have transformed my life and I believe the grace of God is available to take you to a whole new level through these revelations. At the end of each lesson is a prayer point, pray it, confess it with faith and you sure will experience the hand of God lift your spirit to another height. Be blessed.
Rahab as we all know was a harlot who took a risky step but in accordance with God's divine will and through that action found herself in God's redemption plan for mankind. Let us consider some of the lessons from her life:
Lesson 1- Recognise the helpers of your Destiny
Some people are sent into our lives for our lifting and the fulfillment of our purpose, it only takes our ability to recognise them, the grace they carry and what that grace represents for us to fully grasp their purpose in our lives and walk with them along that line. Those spies were significant to Rahab's life story and somehow she knew it, there's no record of her having the spirit of God to have ministered this to her but she was able to sense it. Today, you are at an advantaged position with the Holy Spirit whom the bible says will reveal all things to us. Let your spiritual antenna be up and running. Recognise those who add value and meaning to your life and purpose, they don't necessarily have to be among your circle of friends, not even among your relations but they carry the grace you need to advance to your next level. Those spies were not Rabah's friends because their motive was to take over her land but she looked beyond that. The helpers of your destiny don't need to have the best of personality, they might not even appeal to you yet they carry what you need. Forget about the annoying personality and the flaws is that person and go after that grace, wisdom, connection, skill and anointing you need to tap for your elevation.
PP: Lord I ask for insight to discern those you have sent into my life for my lifting, I receive grace to look beyond the physical flaws that might want to discourage me and I begin to see deep within each person the grace they carry and tap into it in Jesus name.
Lesson 2 - Its in you, know it, believe it and accept it
Who could have thought that a woman of such insignificant repute could conceive of such a great idea and also be bold enough to negotiate her destiny and that of her household out of destruction, but she did, I don't know how she did it but she did it. All it took her was just a moment to think and she got the answer in the form of an idea because it was right inside her, she didn't say, "oh! As a prostitute, I can't think for myself, I better get a righteous person to think for me." Many of the answers and breakthrough we seek is staring us right in the face and we think its so far away. You don't need any kind of consultation to make that positive move towards your destiny, all you need is an idea and its right within you, just look inward and you'll find answers to your life's questions.
PP: Lord open my spirit, open my mind and open my eyes to see the answers that I seek in life. I receive that divine idea to rule and dominate my world in Jesus name.
Lesson 3 - Recognise and act on opportunities
Opportunities present themselves sometimes in the most disguised form so you need to develop spiritual insight to see beyond the physical. Eccl 9:11 says, I returned and saw under the sun that - The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. For man also does not know his time.....so men are snared in evil time, when it falls suddenly on them. Opportunities abound all around us, it is not a dead end situation for you. In the place of your struggle someone else is celebrating abundance because while he sees an opening to solve a problem and get value in return you are seeing an impossible nut to crack. In your everyday challenges are the opportunities for you to break through, get prepared. One major reason people don't recognise opportunity is because of lack of preparation, it is said that, "success happens when opportunity meets preparation." Rahab saw an opportunity to align with the God who could do those wondrous acts she had heard about and quickly grabbed it. Grab your own today and escape the evil and darkness coming upon men.
PP: Lord prepare me for my breakthrough opportunities. Open my eyes to see destiny changing opportunities in the challenges I am confronted with daily. From now on I see solution to problems around me and even in my nation, I am a problem solver, where others see difficulties, I see opportunities to add value and get value in return in Jesus name.
