You Will Be Watered

If you’re a woman then this encouragement is for you. Our God is a covenant keeping God who operates by principle, when you walk in His principle you are bound to experience His faithfulness. As mothers, we are constantly walking in this principle of giving, we give our time, our love, our affection, we give care, our resources, our money, we give even of ourselves, this is the situation we have found ourselves in, there’s always a demand  on us even when it’s not convenient for us. Our children, spouses, in-laws, families, neighbours, friends and also the church, they all need us. You just find yourself watering people’s lives, meeting needs, giving so much and feeling all drained out. Sometimes, you feel you don’t even have the energy to carry on anymore, you lack the inspiration and courage to pursue your own personal ambition because of all of these responsibilities; it can be overwhelming. There are moments you even feel those around you especially your spouse is selfish and insensitive to your own needs.

The word of God offers hope in all situation, allow the word encourage you this morning, the scripture says in Proverbs 11:25b that, “he who waters will also be watered.”As you live daily watering others, The Lord will water your life and your dreams, He will replenish you, whatever you give out will be replaced. No one can really reward us as mothers for our efforts, not even our husbands because to some of them what we do is what is expected of us, its nothing special, even a little appreciation that can go a long way to lighten our spirits is hard to get out of them. The best reward can only come from our make who knows the magnitude of what we’re called into. Even in our first ministry as wives and mothers, the feeling of inadequacy could set in as we feel despite all, we’re not doing enough. Only God can take your little effort and multiply it in the lives of the people you impact. Your own personal goals are not left out, though you’re not giving enough time as you would love to but God will grow your vision and cause you to excel and shine in whatever He has committed into your hands. See your role as a mother to be a blessing and not a burden. Don’t see your children as obstacles to your progress as this is what we imply when we make comments like, “I would have done or achieved xyz if not for these kids.” There are many other things you can achieve with your kids, they can be the very inspiration needed to birth that idea in you that would take you to the next level. Even out of our chores we can cultivate a moment of fellowship with the Holy Spirit, several things I’ve written about I got the inspiration while working at home, it can be awesome knowing God is right beside you, ready to speak with new instructions while you clean the toilet :)

God knows the areas of your life that need watering as a woman, a wife and a mother. His love can release grace to work in your life and divinely orchestrate some events to meet your needs and also fulfil His purpose. So rejoice as you get busy for your family and the Lord today knowing He’s eagerly waiting to water your life.
