For the vision is yet for an appointed time....though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, because it will surely come. Hab. 2:3 (AMP)
How long have you been waiting for the manifestation of your dream having put everything in place? Are you beginning to despair and doubt if it will ever happen? You are encouraged through this devotion titled Wait For It, to hold patiently because it will happen. A song writer says, 'God said it I believe it and that settles it.' Let the same be settled in you this morning.
Waiting can be draining as it challenges every of your faith. But I want to believe that God uses the waiting period to teach us some lessons. That though we may have the expertise, best laid out plans and the hottest leads, the fulfilment of our dreams still depends on Him. Through this, He builds our character into the man and woman in the dream. There's no point fulfilling a dream you do not have the character to live.
Waiting may sometimes feel like your life is at a pause or God has abandoned His work over your destiny but what He wants from us is absolute trust because His thought for us never changes. He has the timing for our expected end according to His plans for us. We can make the period between the amen and the answer profitable by finding purpose for our waiting.
What are some of the purposes of waiting. When God places a vision in our heart, He expects us to grow to the point where our disposition matches the revelation and this happens at a cost and over a process. God will not place anyone raw, immature and unrefined in the midst of a fulfilled dream. Through growth, we take on the form, personality and mindset that is well equipped for the fulfilment of the dream. Waiting on God for the manifestation of our dream also empowers us according to Isa. 40:31. Empowerment can come in the area of growing in skills and capacity that help you function at a higher level. Virtue also grows in you as you wait. "And so after he had PATIENTLY waited, he obtained the promise". Heb. 6:15. Responsibility is another key strength that waiting produces in you. There is no fast tract to your dream except waiting on God for His timing. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, it will surely come.
Toay's Action Plan:
• Come up with activities to replace those moments of despair so your waiting can be purposeful.
Enjoy a flourishing week.
