Persevering In Purpose

There are times in life when you feel inadequate and unprepared for what God is laying in your heart to do. You question your qualification and ability to carry out such assignment without failing.

The truth is, God does not use man's criteria when making His choices of whom to send, He looks at the heart. He looks for the soul that is brave and ready for His use. He doesn't use people who are popular enough to garner support and approval for themselves. He uses uncommon people in uncommon ways to do uncommon things.

Many examples abound in scriptures and in history of unlikely women he used to do unlikely things.

Rahab
She was a harlot, who didn't know God, but God knew her and had plans for her. She was instrumental to the successful arrival of the Isrealites to the promised land.

Jael
Though not a very common name, she is one woman whose bravery stands as a challenge to any woman. She was able to bring down a man who had escaped Isreal's army.

Deborah
This was another woman who led Isreal's army to victory without intimidation.

Esther
She was a captive in a strange land but had the qualities of a queen in her. She later made it to the palace and used her position to save her people from destruction.

Kathryn Kuhlman
Rose from several setbacks to become a woman so broken and so close to the Holy Spirit, that God could wrought mighty miracles through her.

Mary slessor
Persevered through faith to see to the end of the ritual murder of twins in Calabar, Nigeria. Her passion brought her closer to the tribes and earned her a nickname, "Ma."

Catherine Booth, Susanna Wesley amongst others were women who stood out because of their perseverance. These women have their names written in the sands of time not because they were wealthy and powerful but because they endured hardship, humiliation and persevered in purpose. You don't have to suffer their kind of fate to be celebrated, but you need their kind of faith to survive the challenges peculiar to the pursuit of your own purpose.

God created you for a purpose and has plans for your life even when your own plans don't include Him. Whatever purpose you're called to fulfil as a woman, wife or mother, the challenges are not meant to break you but to make you. Plant seeds of love and faith that would stand the test of time and help you build destinies. You've got what it takes to pursue that purpose to fulfilment.

Whatever form of denial you're going through because you've chosen to walk the right path to destiny. Don't give in to fear. The Greater one who choose you for His purpose lives in you, you can do it, you will make it!

Have a flourishing day!
