We meet different people everyday and there are some that just stand out either with a striking personality, height, beauty, intelligence or even their diction, whatever it is they cannot go unnoticed. There are others who are singled out for the negative reasons, arrogance, pride, insubordination, attitude problem. So also God expects us to be distinguished from others as His children, He expects us to manifest Christ and influence people positively everywhere we find ourselves. Our spiritual perfume should be the aroma of Christ, the Bible says that God "diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge through us in every place" 2Cor.2:14. As true christians, we carry this fragrance with us everywhere we go like ‎​our perfume. At each point in time of your life and on a daily basis you are always in contact with somebody who is either a believer or an unbeliever and scripture says, "For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing" 2 Cor.2:15. To the saved, we are "the aroma of life leading to life," that is, we are a source of encouragement, strength, hope and inspiration to our fellow brethren, while to the unsaved, "we are the aroma of death leading to death," that is, we are a witness and a challenge to their life style and a spiritual rod of reproof. The aroma of the knowledge of Christ around us makes them realise they are spiritually dead and their need for the life Christ offers. What are you to the people you come in contact with? Are you a source of inspiration or a rod of reproof, or do you just blend into the crowd so as not to feel odd? What do people notice about you when you walk into a room, is it the fragrance of His knowledge diffused through humility, love, respect or is it that of arrogance, pride, and a haughty spirit? Something must always distinguish you from others.

During His time on earth, Jesus stood out wherever He went to, the presence of the Father upon Him singled Him out and made His life an attraction and so He affected both those who believed and those who didn't believe. This is what God desires of us and it can only come when we deepen our relationship with Him through prayer, personal bible study, worship and in service to Him. These activities will cause Jesus personality to rub off on us and we carry His image with us anywhere we go. It will not just happen overnight, it requires first dying to self because years will be committed into developing an intimate walk with God, so the need to die to self and the passions that can draw you back.

The more we get deeper with God, the more His fragrance is diffused through our lives and the more people will be attracted to us as they can sense His anointing in us. If your life isn't giving off His fragrance, its never too late to begin the preparation. Start developing that intimate relationship with the Father so the beauty of His presence can radiate through you.

The world needs more christians that are 'Christlike', not just talkers, "For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing/manifestation of the sons of God." - Rom 8:19 the world wants to see the sons (daughters) of God manifest the totality of Jesus they confess to carry in them as there are so many 'christians' yet less manifestation of love, forgiveness, sensitivity, compassion, tolerance, humility, temperance, moderation, faith, kindness, goodness, self-control. We confess Christ, yet we hate, envy, compromise, we murder with our tongue. When we carry all these garbage along, God cannot diffuse the fragrance of His knowledge through us because garbage stinks, and even when we try to put up some show its all human effort, it makes no impact.

If you have an attitude problem, take it to God, loosen the grip of that weakness over your life and stop 'saying that is the way I am, even God understands', no, no, God knows that is the way you were by Adamic nature so he made provision for your recreation in Christ so old things can pass away and all things can become new. God wants to actively work in you and through you to bring forth that heavenly scent, you can't do it on your own. "Now thanks be to God who…through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge." Only God can do this beautiful work through you, it is the perfect work of His grace and it's available to us everyday we live and in every place we go.
